Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
When are you gonna come down
When are you going to land
I should have stayed on the farm
I should have listened to my old man
You know you can't hold me forever
I didn't sign up with you
I'm not a present for your friends to open
This boy's too young to be singing the blues
So goodbye yellow brick road
Where the dogs of society howl
You can't plant me in your penthouse
I'm going back to my plough
Back to the howling old owl in the woods
Hunting the horny back toad
Oh I've finally decided my future lies
Beyond the yellow brick road
What do you think you'll do then
I bet that'll shoot down your plane
It'll take you a couple of vodka and tonics
To set you on your feet again
Maybe you'll get a replacement
There's plenty like me to be found
Mongrels who ain't got a penny
Sniffing for tidbits like you on the ground

I dedicate both the songs to our dear Ayumi who will be leaving us all for Manipal on the 8th. September 2006. Unfortunately I cannot be there at the airport to send you off, for I have a wedding to attend to. That was the reason why I've arranged to see her and skye on Merdeka Day.
I wish you ALL THe BEST Ayumi. You see I've not forgotten the yellow brick road. Told you I'm an old faithful.
Selamat jalan and take care...
One of my fave oldie.
DITH - Indeed those were the days when singers can actually sing and noise was not equated to music.
BTW, do you still keep those glasses that cover half your face? he...he....
quite a nice song actually
to ayumi
have a nice trip & hope you enjoy medical school. also, hope that even though you're in india you'll still be able to update your blog :)
The title kind of reminds me about "The Wizard of Oz".
